Oxidative Stress Analysis
This oxidative Stress panel is used to access the balance between oxidative damage by free radicals and how well your boy can quench them. Unchecked oxidative damage by free radicals can promote disease, accelerate aging, and decrease physical performance/recovery. Evidence is mounting that oxidative stress is involved in some disease processes, including:
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Asthma
- Cancer
- Macular Degeneration
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)
- Neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s
- Arthritis
- Diabetes Mellitus
- Atherosclerosis
- Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
- Environmental Sensitivities
What’s Being Tested:
- Lipid Peroxides
- 8-hydroxydeoxyguanosine (8-OHdG)
Fasting: See instructions Specimen: Urine, Genova Home Test Kit (Draw Location | How It Works | FAQs) Turnaround Time: 21-23 Business Days Important Notes:

NMR Lipoprofile with Insulin Resistance Markers & Graph
What is the NMR LipoProfile?
The NMR LipoProfile test is an advanced cardiovascular diagnostic test that uses nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to uniquely provide a rapid, simultaneous, and direct measurement of LDL particle number and size of LDL particles, as well as direct measurement of HDL and VLDL subclasses. This detailed lipoprotein particle information allows clinicians to make more effective individualized treatment decisions than previously possible based on standard lipid panel testing. The atherosclerotic culprit is LDL particle number, not LDL cholesterol.
Why Should I Order the LipoProfile Test?
The NMR LipoProfile test provides a more accurate picture of cardiovascular (CVD) risk than the standard lipid panel. Each year, heart attacks kill more than 8 times as many women as breast cancer and 15 times as many men as prostate cancer. According to a major study, 50% of the people who suffered a heart attack had normal cholesterol levels.
For some, higher cholesterol levels are needed. The NMR LipoProfile shows if the elevation increased your risk of CVD and helps decide if medication is actually needed in your specific case. If your cholesterol is normal, being lowered by treatments like diet, exercise, or medication; or you have any of the conditions listed below, the NMR LipoProfle test may be right for you:
- Diabetes
- Previous heart attack
- Family history of heart attack
- High blood pressure
- Overweight/Obesity
- Cardiometabolic risk
- Metabolic syndrome
- Low HDL
- High triglycerides
What’s Being Tested:
- Insulin resistance (prediabetes) markers
- Lipoprotein particle number
- Lipoprotein subfractions
- Standard cholesterol panel (total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, triglycerides)
Fasting: Yes. 10-12 hours Specimen Type: Blood (Draw Location | How It Works | FAQs)
Testosterone Test | Total
This test can be used to screen for low or high levels of testosterone (low T/high T). We recommend you pair this test with free (unbound) testosterone. What’s Being Tested:
- Testosterone (total)
Fasting: No Specimen Type: Blood (Draw Location | How It Works | FAQs)
Free Testosterone Test
What’s Being Tested:
- Free Testosterone (unbound)
Fasting: No Specimen Type: Blood (Draw Location | How It Works | FAQs) Turnaround Time: 5 Business Days
