General Lab Test Questions
How does ordering lab tests online work? Learn more
▾
- Select your lab tests, find your draw location, then checkout.
- Take the lab order form and/or test kit you receive from us to your draw location.
- Test results are uploaded to your account once completed.
If the Lab test image says “order form only”, you will be receiving a Quest Diagnostics order form. You will receive your order form from
TrueHealthLabs.com by email. Take the order form to a local
patient service center for your collection by a certified phlebotomist,
free.
The turnaround time (the time it takes the lab to process your sample and send us the results) can be found at the top of every lab test page.
If the lab test image shows a test kit, you will receive your test kit(s) and order form(s) by mail 3-5 days after your order.
Most order forms will be found inside the test kit.
Fill out the order form and check for errors. You have already paid for your labs so if asked, check the box(s) for “bill physician” (no signature is required).
Take the test kit with you to your local
draw center (saliva, urine, and stool test kits can be completed at home).
Ordering test kits from outside the USA? See our international lab test categories for labs available in your region. Return shipping fee may apply.
What should I do if I can’t find the test I’m looking for?
▾
We have access to thousands of tests, many of which we don’t post online. If you are seeking a specific test,
contact us.
Can I order lab tests in my state or country?
▾
Lab test orders can not be tied to an address located in NY, NJ, MA, or RI. You may place orders if the address and collection are outside the restricted states. Use that address at checkout.
You can find region-specific restrictions by going to the “at a glance” section near the top of each lab test page.
We have Canada and Europe categories for lab tests available specifically for those regions.
If I ordered a test kit, what day should I mail my test kit back?
▾
It is suggested to mail the kit back on a Monday or Tuesday in order to avoid weekend mailing delays. We do not suggest you mail kits on Friday’s.
If the test(s) you are ordering are test kits, you will need to mail it back to the lab. The return shipping label and bag is included.
Will my healthcare provider receive a copy of my results?
▾
No. We deal directly and confidentially with you, and upload your test results to your account. You will then be able to print out your results and take them to your healthcare practitioner.
It’s been awhile and I don’t see my test results. Where are they?
▾
Turnaround times can be found at the top of each lab test page. This is the time it takes for the lab to process your sample and send us the test results. Since samples have to be transported to the lab after collection and TrueHealthLabs.com has to process your results report, it may take a few more days longer than what is posted.
If it has been an unreasonable amount of time, don’t hesitate to contact us. Will reach out to the lab to find out if there are any delays.
Lab Test Billing Questions
Are tests covered by my insurance?
▾
TrueHealthLabs.com does not bill insurance directly, however, you can submit for reimbursement yourself. If all your insurance company needs is the “CPT Codes“,
then we can supply you with those codes (we can not provide diagnostic codes). Simply
contact us and include your order number and the tests for which you would like CPT codes.
TrueHealthLabs.com does not control this process and can not compensate for it. This said, we discourage filing with your insurance company.
TrueHealthLabs.com does not engage in diagnosing and does not form doctor-patient relationships.
There is a billing section and other sections on my lab order form. Do I leave it blank?
▾
Because you ordered through TrueHealthLabs.com, you have already paid for and have gotten the best price for your labs.
Are there any tax and/or shipping fees?
▾
Can I cancel my order?
▾
You may cancel prior to specimen collection with a refund equal to the price of the total order, less a 10% cancellation fee, if canceled within four (4) months from the date of the order. The fee is to cover the transaction fees and cancellation fees we incur from the labs.
There are no cancellation refunds after four (4) months unless other arrangements are made before the four (4) month cut-off date.
If you are holding a test for more than four (4) months,
contact us for an extension.
Does Medicare cover my tests?
