Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) Blood Test
This test panel helps screen for and monitor polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). Insulin, glucose, and HbA1C are used to monitor blood sugar since blood sugar stabilization is key in controlling PCOS.
We have also added vitamin D to our PCOS blood test because of the close correlation between PCOS and vitamin D deficiency.
Research shows that those with PCOS have a 3x greater chance of having an autoimmune condition called Hashimoto’s disease. Hashimoto’s, or “Hashi”, is a condition in which the body’s immune system attacks healthy thyroid cells. This ends up creating a hypothyroid, or low thyroid, state. Therefore, we have included TPO and TGB antibodies along with this PCOS screening test.
Alternatively, you can screen for Hashimoto’s with our basic Hashimoto’s blood test .
