Angela Ashton's Advanced Chronic Diagnostics

Welcome to my chronic illness diagnostic testing store—an extension of the mission behind the first of my chronic illness book series, The Path Back to Safety. This space was created to give you practical tools and clearer insight as you navigate complex, often misunderstood conditions like MCAS, POTS, and related dysautonomia patterns. While testing is only one piece of the healing puzzle, having access to thoughtful, well-chosen options can help you and your care team make more informed decisions. My hope is that this resource supports you in taking empowered, educated steps forward—at your own pace, with greater clarity and confidence during your wellness journey.  If you don't see a test that you are looking for, please reach out to me on my website contact form or messenger for guidance. However complex your symptoms may feel, you are not alone—and you are not without options. Healing often unfolds one informed, supported step at a time. My hope is that the resources here, along with my latest book, The Path Back to Safety, help you feel more seen, more equipped, and more confident as you move forward in your wellness journey. With patience, the right support and compassionate care, and the proper diagnostic tools, meaningful progress is possible. Throughout my book, The Path Back to Safety, we explore a wide range of root contributors that can drive complex, multisystem symptoms—including gut microbiome imbalance, SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth), H. pylori, Lyme and other tick-borne infections, mold toxicity and environmental exposures, heavy metal burden, allergy and immune dysregulation, histamine intolerance, autoimmune markers such as ANA and lupus, chronic inflammation patterns, fibromyalgia-related markers, and mast cell activation (MCAS) concerns. To help readers move from uncertainty toward clarity, targeted functional and specialty testing is available through True Health Labs. Options include advanced stool analysis such as the GI-MAP for detailed microbiome and H. pylori insight, breath and stool testing that can support SIBO investigation, comprehensive pathogen panels for persistent GI symptoms, mycotoxin and environmental exposure assessments, heavy metal screening, food allergy and immune panels, and autoimmune and inflammatory markers. These tools are designed to provide deeper data when conventional testing falls short, helping you and your healthcare provider better identify potential underlying drivers and personalize your next steps toward stabilization and healing. From a clinical perspective, these laboratory assessments are intended to complement a comprehensive medical evaluation and should be interpreted within the context of a patient’s full history, physical findings, and standard diagnostic workup. Many of the conditions discussed—including MCAS, POTS, SIBO, autoimmune activity, and environmental illness—require thoughtful clinical correlation rather than reliance on a single marker. When used appropriately, targeted testing can help clarify patterns, guide further evaluation, and support more individualized care planning in collaboration with a qualified healthcare professional.  Testing can provide supportive data for these complex chronic health issues, but results should always be interpreted alongside clinical history and symptom patterns, and discussed with your healthcare provider. If you need help selecting the test that’s right for you, please reach out for guidance and be sure to discuss your choices with your healthcare provider.  Please let us know if you need help interpreting your test results. Tests ordered through the labs are generally self-pay (out-of-pocket). The company does not bill insurance or Medicare directly, which is part of how we keep pricing lower.  If you choose, you may submit your receipt and associated CPT codes on your own to your insurance company for possible reimbursement; however, coverage decisions depend entirely on your individual plan.  Self-ordered tests are usually not covered since most insurers will only review claims that include a physician-ordered and physician-provided diagnostic (ICD-10) code.  You can contact your insurance company in advance to ask whether any portion of the test(s) may be eligible for reimbursement under your specific plan. "Knowledge, care, and persistence light the way toward your recovery." Wishing you resilience, clarity, and kindness on every step of your healing journey. --Angela Ashton
